I'm back!

Hello!

Well it has been a long time since my last post, over 3 months.  I didn't intend to be away from blogging for so long but I have been working on some rather large projects so there isn't as much progress to show regularly.

I've been working on my Heaven and Earth Design chart, Alice in Clockwork by Jasmine Beckett Griffith.  I started her in September last year, and here's where she's up to now...

I started this beauty, Amara and the Book also by Jasmine Beckett Griffith, on 16 February 2018.

I haven't stitched very much of her but I love the colours.  Here's my progress (still on the Qsnaps):

And I also started this Bothy Threads kit as a gift for my Mum who is going to be 70 in September this year.  She is a huge fan of Lowry and asked me to stitch one for her birthday, but she asked me to choose the design and keep it a surprise.  I chose Market Scene-Northern Town.  This is how it will look when finished.

What I love about it is even though I've only stitched part of the roof, it's recognisable as a Lowry because of the colours used.  Apparently he only used a very limited colour palette, mixing the colours with black and white to achieve the different shades used.  Here's my progress to date.

It's  nice to finally update my blog, I'll try not to leave it too long next time.

My mom turns 60 this Sept , I have selected a project just need to figure when to start. Wondering how many of us are stitching projects for our mother's big birthdays ?
The Lowry design is different from Bothy projects I have seen till now.

I have never seen a Lowry piece before, and it is going to be fantastic gift! Of course, you have to really focus on it for your Mum's birthday... understandable! But...two other BAPs...also! Wow! I am going to study up on stitching a full coverage piece and get one real soon! NO hurry, just want to give it a try again... Hugs!

Hi, Justine! I’m new to your blog (thanks for following mine, by the way). Wow! The Heaven on Earth Designs you are stitching look really hard. I admire your patience, and the Alice in Clockwork one looks amazing! Great work! Looking forward to seeing more from you.

That Lowry is amazing! I love his work, but I haven't been to the gallery for a while. Think I'll add it to my day's out list right now.
The other projects are beautiful! The 16 year old daughter loves cross stitch, although exams take up all her time at the moment. I must show her your blog and get her going. She could do with a goo drelaxing hobby at the moment.
