A small and spooky finish

Hello

Are you here to see a finish?  Well, here it is!

Spooky String by Lizzie*Kate
Stitched on 32 count linen
With recommended Crescent Colors and DMC threads
Started 12th January 2015, finished 5th September 2015

This is finish number 9 of my 15 new starts for the Crazy January Challenge 2015 in memory of SoCal Debbie.  I started it on 12th January when it looked like this...

but then didn't touch it until this week.  I had it all stitched up in three evenings and am going to attempt an oblong-cube-type finish (I'm sure a mathematician could put me right on the correct name for an oblong cube - a cuboid?!) as seen on Vickie's blog this week here.

I think realistically I could finish another four of my January new starts by the end of the year, but there are a couple of them which I pretty much knew I wouldn't get done (Mini HAED Christmas Mailbox I'm looking at you!)  I plan to finish up the smaller ones as quickly as I can and then focus on the Bothy Threads Cut Thru pieces which I have started - Rocket for elder son and Pirate Ship for younger son.  They have just had 6th and 7th birthdays so I want to finish these before they are too old for them!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Until next time

Justine

  3. A gorgeous finish and in plenty of time for Halloween too! I've just seen how you intend to finish-finish it and love the idea. I didn't realise you'd finished so many of your January starts. With such a success rate perhaps you really should consider starting 15 more next January! In the meantime belated happy birthday to your boys and good luck with the cut-thrus. :)

And congrats on finishing #9 of Debbie's Challenge yaaay~ Having a Halloween piece done before Halloween, what is the world coming to? ... and you just made me think that I need to get my one tiny Halloweeny piece done sometime eventually, eep.
