Stitching Alice's hair

Yes, that's what I'm going to be doing tonight!  I'm so excited to have finished with many different shades of grey, brown and teal and am finally starting a sort of bronzy colour!

There's the bronze all ready to go.  I am still really enjoying stitching this one.  Here's a picture of the finished version in case you haven't seen her before.

I am most of the way through page 2 in the top left hand corner.

I haven't forgotten that I promised to have a giveaway for reaching 200 followers.  Life is a bit busy and stressful at the moment but I have started getting some cross stitch goodies together and will be announcing more details soon!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.  I like to reply individually to comments but have been having lots of no-comment reply bloggers recently.  So if I don't reply to you, it's because I can't, and please know that I appreciate you just the same!

Until next time

Justine

It's amazing how a new color can almost bring you to tears, isn't it?

Oooo the excitement of a new colour, only other stitchers could appreciate that joy! I just love this chart and am very happy I get to watch someone else stitch it! I think Google+ interferes with a lot of people's profiles which makes them no reply without them realising it which is a shame.

I'm laughing as I read all the previous comments....no one understands the joy of a new color after miles of stitching the same dark color!
She's looking wonderful. Enjoy your bronze;)

I think this may be my biggest stumbling block with a HaED. I like big chunks of color but "big" is not really what describes a piece like this LOL.

There seems to be a lot of problems with Blogger emails in general. I know Yahoo and Gmail haven't been playing nice for a while now. Some comments don't even get emailed to me at all! I definitely prefer LiveJournal's setup but Google is everywherrrrrre.

How exciting! I look forward to seeing your next photo!

Apparently comments from certain email providers (like Yahoo) are automatically marked as spam and notifications are not emailed when comments are made on blogs. (Someone mentioned this precautionary change was made after a big breach a while back...???) I added a couple of frequent commenter's email addresses to my contact list and that fixed the problem - I now receive emails of their comments. It is frustrating, though.

Laughing at the comments about the new colour! It is a very exciting development on these large charts!
Regarding the comments, I enabled Moderation so I can see which ones I haven't got emails for and reply then. It is Yahoo emails which are the problem.

Well done on all that progress! I really can't wait to start Alice myself ... but I also feel all my other projects crying/unloved. I guess we will see some hair soon.

You made some nice progress on this lovely project. It's always a pleasure to have a change of colours when you have to stitch large areas with just one colour.

Looks great! I think my favorite part of that painting is the dodo. He's just so cute! But I imagine it will be awhile before you get that far, so I will cheer for getting to Alice's hair instead. :)
