Five down ten to go!

...Debbie's Crazy January Challenge pieces, that is!

Last night I finished up March's Daffodils.  I'm pleased as I actually managed to finish it in March!  And here it is...

March's Daffodils by Cottage Garden Samplings
Stitched on 32 count Permin linen French Lace
with recommended DMC, WDW and GAST threads
Started 8th January 2015, finished 27th March 2015

A couple of close-ups...

Love the cute Irish hat and pot of gold!

And here are a couple of pieces I picked up from the framer yesterday too.

The Wizard of Oz by The Little Stitcher

Miss Peepers by Little House Needleworks

This lady, Sheila, is a new framer to me and I think she's done an awesome job!  She spent a lot of time with me choosing the perfect frame and did not try to pressure me to have anything expensive, instead helping me to choose what was right for the project.  In the end we both agreed a simple finish looked best.  Find her here if you're in the Cheshire/Liverpool area.

I wonder what to stitch on next?!

Until next time

Justine

  7. You are on quite a roll, even ahead of schedule if you do five every four months! I will expect five more by the end of August mwuahaha. :D I definitely love the daffodils piece and its saying. My own daffies are starting to blossom so spring is finally here.

Miss Peepers turned out wonderfully framed~ And it must feel so good to have something out of the finished-but-not-finished pile haha.

The frames look perfect for the designs. You are doing great in the challenge. Keep it up!!
I ordered few frames and got them yesterday. Now I will put some of my finished pieces into those, failing which, I might sheepishly return to the framer. He insisted a lot to let him do the framing.

  24. Hi Justine, wow what a great finish, well done!
It's great to find a framer who doesn't hurry you or try to encourage a pricier selection of frame... she's done a fab job of them both

  26. Lovely finish! Daffodils are so cheerful, aren't they?! The framed pictures look great! I always have to my own framing unfortunately; it would be WAY too expensive to take my cross stitching to a Swedish framer...

Your framed pieces look fantastic too and I think you have chosen well by going for simple frames without mounts. They look stunning. :)
