YOTA Update February 2015

Hi everyone

Today is the day for our YOTA update.  If you don't know what YOTA is, go here to read all about it.

My plan for YOTA is to pull one of my UFOs out and work on it until finished.  I used the random number generator thingy and it chose this one for me...

Clocks by Lanarte

Here is what it looked like last time I worked on it, which was Summer 2014...

And this is how it looks now!

As you can see, I stitched two of the clocks.  I "only" have two clocks left but they are the two big ones.  The big question now is, do I carry on with this one for next month, or change to another?  I am finding the beige/brown colours quite boring, but I do love the effect once the backstitch goes on, and I would like to get this one finished.

I would like to apologise for not reading/commenting on blogs and replying to emails this week.  I normally keep up to date on my train trips to/from work, using my mobile phone.  However, can I just warn you that mobile phones and bathrooms don't mix?  I have had to buy a new phone and for some reason the blogger dashboard screen doesn't load properly and it won't scroll up/down.  Very annoying.  I have just spent an hour transferring my reading list to bloglovin so hopefully I will be able to follow you all from there!

Until next time

Justine

Great progress on this one. Well done on getting two more clocks finished up. Sorry to hear about your phone troubles.

I love the clocks but if you're bored of the colours have a little break and do something colourful like Paris or Rocket. After a while you'll probably be glad to return to the soothing browns again! :)

Well done on your YOTA progress! Thats a tough choice, but if you are finding it a little boring maybe swap to something else for a little while xx

I have the same issue on my new phone with the blogger dashboard. I'm using Chrome to browse on my phone - maybe a different browser would work better? Very nice progress!

Wonderful progress Justine. I think you should keep that for YOTA until it is done. Such a pretty design.

Oh I so love how this is coming along. As for your phone not scrolling, mine does the same thing. If you can, click the button on the "menu" that says "Request Desktop Site" and then it will work. You have to do it each time, but it's better than not being able to use it!

Oh wow, that's some nice progress on this project. I don't know if I could stitch on one big WIP for two months in a row, I always love to switch my BAPs and it feels good like that.

Fantastic progress. I say switch it out and come back and finish later. I love bloglovin. It's really easy to see who has posted an update.

Love the little handle on the carriage clock! I can see the endless browns getting tiring but I love backstitching. I've never been able to get a mobile version of the dashboard to appear on my phone at all! I miss the wonderful Google Reader. I currently use an add-on on Firefox called "newsfox" but only on my desktop as it can be intensive with the volume of blogs haha. :D

The fridge magnet has arrived although perhaps you heard my squeals of delight over there!!! It's just the one I had been wanting too! THANK YOU ♥ ♥ ♥ It's already on a project :DDD

Great progress! You're right, the effect of the backstitching is absolutely lovely. Maybe keep at it? You're almost done! :D

Hi Justine! This is my first visit. I love your blog. The clocks are beautiful. If you are bored with the colors, switch the project every other week or month. That might work for you. Looking forward reading your blog in the future.

Ooh hard decision. I would stick with the clocks until done. You're almost there and a finish will be a great incentive. But then again, if it's getting a tad boring with all those browns maybe something vibrant to keep your interest peaked. I'm no help I know. This is the reason I have too many wips.

Now I know the reason that I haven't heard from you via email. I sent you a couple of sites to help you out with your question. I'll put them here for you - tent tutorial : http://flowerstorm.net/disa/Crafts/stitch-tent.html and http://needlepoint.about.com/od/stitchdiagrams/ss/Continental.html .

Great progress!! The clocks just look fabulous. I do love Sepia tones but can understand this craving for colours :)

A lovely design, great progress.

Growing well Justine. I vote don't persevere if you are getting bored, come back to it after a little break, perhaps do another clock next time then take another break and finish the final one.

That clock piece is really pretty. Great job!

You've made such great progress, Justine! Love the clocks!
May I suggest that if you're tired of the browns...you pick up something red? :D Come on...you know what I'm talking about :D
Lol....no.....bathrooms and mobiles don't go well together! Unless you have one of those fandangly new ones that you can drop kick into the ocean ones!
