Debbie's Crazy January Challenge Days 7 and 8

Here are my new starts for 7th and 8th January...

Day 7:
Pretty Little Paris by Satsuma Street

And here's how it will look when finished...

I was stitching on this when I heard the terrible news about the shootings in Paris.  So very sad.  I have happy memories of my one and only trip to Paris and hope to think of them rather than this tragedy the next time I stitch on this piece.

Day 8 didn't see much stitching action:

This is the finished article, the daffodil I stitched is the lowest one on the left hand side of the stems:

I am hoping to get some real finishing done today, as I want to display my January Robin before February begins!  Finishing isn't one of my skills but hopefully I will have something half-decent to show you later.  Plus I need to get started on my Day 9 piece, and catch up on lots of blog-reading!

Until then

Justine

  1. Justine - Your new starts are beautiful. I was saddened about the Paris news as well. I remember visiting Paris in 87 and lots of police and armed military around that was a bit unnerving. The last time I was there in 05 there were not a many police, but that was before the London Tube bombing. I was born an hour north of Paris and spent many summers visiting my grandparents. My family moved to the US when I was 3. Oh, I plan to stitch all 59, I think I am a bit loony for trying but I am willing to give it a go--I may run out of patterns.

  2. I hope you have a good day catching up on your stitching, finishing and blogs! Your day 7 and 8 starts are beautiful, of course and so different. PLP is a definite for me this year. I've got fond memories of our only trip to Paris too - mainly being 6 months pregnant walking up to the second floor of the Eiffel tower! I must have been mad! :)

  11. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa a daffodil! I love daffodil patterns and this one has such a cute little saying to go with it. And Satsuma Street patterns have such cheerful colors.

I think it is sad about Paris too. There is too much violence in the name of religion. :/
