Gorgeous gifts and a little finish

I was lucky enough to be the winner of Shebafudge's 2000 comment giveaway recently and received my prizes in the post yesterday.  I was overwhelmed.  Here are some photos...

the gorgeous card and goodies wrapped up, wonder what's inside?

two charts from my wishlist and a beautiful scissor keep

a close up of the scissor keep, spot the tiny beads around the edge

the back of the scissor keep, her stitching is so neat!

Thank you so much Shebafudge.  Your work is so beautiful and I will treasure it and use it as long as I stitch! I can't wait to get stitching on those cute charts too.  I will have to get cracking with Welcome, Tooth Fairy as elder son is at the age now where lots of his classmates are starting to lose their teeth!

I had a little finish at last of a picture for younger son.  I didn't enjoy this one much at the start.  I ended up having to frog Luke Skywalker's face (used the wrong pink and it was too bright) and all of R2D2 (used two strands instead of 3).  But as it came together I got into it and even enjoyed it towards the end.

Star Wars A New Hope by weelittlestitches
Started 2/9/13, finished 27/2/14
Stitched on dark blue 14 count aida
with DMC threads

I am now planning on spending a couple of nights on this...

Only 5 years in the making!  I really want to get this finished in time for younger son's fifth birthday in August.

But I am tempted by this chart I saw on Debbie's blog.  So cute!

Until next time
